Alcohol and Tobacco Vending Machines
Mode of observation:
These get their own entry because they are notably different from vending machines found in much of the rest of the world. Overall, cigarette and alcohol vending machines seem to be on the decline, but they’re not too hard to find. They seem to be most common outside locally-owned liquor shops and in entertainment districts.
These machines often have a special card reader for TASPO cards, which are used for age verification. Their use on cigarette machines seems to be pretty consistent, but they’re often either absent or disabled on alcohol vending machines.
